The Body Shop Aloe Vera Skin-Care Regime

I’m rather embarrassed to say before this saviour of a skin-care routine set came along, I only even used a moisture and face mask – I KNOW, IT’S AWFUL! I’ve had dry skin, red skin, itchy skin, spotty skin, flaky skin, burning skin – the whole lot, I’ve been through it all. I have rather sensitive skin so I’ve always been worried about trying a FULL routine and new products. Going from a crappy two-step regime to a five-step amazing routine felt amazing so I’ve decided to do a first impressions/review of my first FULL week using them – enjoy!

Calming Cream Cleanser & Toner

First Impressions(cleanser): As soon as I applied this, it felt silky smooth and luxurious. It had no particular smell to it other than being very clean (if that makes sense?). Basically not the usual chemical smell like some of my past products! It glided on to my skin and came off mess-free.

First Impressions(toner): When I first applied this, I was shocked by show much make up-I had missed. I wish I’d used it sooner. Could you imagine if I hadn’t used this – all that make-up sitting on my face overnight, no wonder I break out!

After 1 week of daily use: I really like both products. The cleanser doesn’t leaving your skin feeling dry or tight and the toner removes all traces of make-up very well leaving you feeling quite fresh.

Soothing Rescue Cream Mask

First Impressions: I was a bit confused how to use this so asked a woman online and she was no help. I applied this like any other face mask, left it for 20 minutes then rinsed it off and I didn’t really notice much difference other than a fresh feeling. I then tried again but left it on overnight rather than rinsing it off and it felt quite greasy as the product took a while to soak in. I woke up about 2am (applied at around 10pm) and my skin felt very smooth and soft although there was product on my eyebrows which I had to get off with my nails as I could feel product just sitting there.

After two uses: It’s recommend to use this product 1-2 times a week as a 20 minutes mask or overnight. I’ve tried both and find the overnight one works best for me. I found my dry patches were gone and my skin felt extremely soft, including my forehead where I have a few *cough*loads*cough of spots.

Soothing Day & Night Cream

First Impressions: Both smell like the other products and glide on to the skin. I found my make-up blended better after applying the day cream however I used a pea-sized amount and dotted it on the T-Zone, cheeks, neck and massaged it in. I use just a little more for the night-cream as I let that soak overnight.

After 1 week of daily use: I’ve noticed that my spots have almost complete gone. Within two days my forehead want as congested as it was before using them although is that the cleanser and toner or moisturiser? No idea! I still have spots of course but it certainly helps.

I must admit I am completely useless when it comes to my skin regime and I’m just a face wipe kind of girl (as terrible as that may be) but I’m really going to start trying this year!!!!

I was the same and I saw so many videos of someone saying you need a minimum of five products!? 😂 that’s when I decided I had to start now xx

I’ve been wanting to try The Body Shop vitamin E set. But honestly you’re making me consider this one now too 😩😩 I have oily/combo skin and it’s very sensitive so this might do me quite good too. Great review!
