I came across Just Another Slice on Twitter so after seeing what and who they were, I pretty much scrolled through their social media sites looking at what they made. Safe to say I was blown away with their flavours and how they came to be.
It’s a small business ran by founder Emile. All their products are gluten-free and some vegan which I loved. It’s business like these that I want to see flourish because they really do cater to the majority of customers with allergies and/or preferences. Plus you don’t need to be Vegan or gluten-free to try these.
I was gifted their Vegan range and thoroughly enjoyed it. Since Mother’s Day is soon, it may be a perfect gift for her (or anyone in fact). Plus, instead of having an Easter Egg, why not these!? My favourite was the Fruit, Seed & Nut slice followed closely by the Dark Chocolate Brownie. Now enough of the rambling and on to the review.
Fruit, Nut and Seed Slice
So this one surprised me! It’s a crumbly texture in the hands but when you eat it, it’s moist, full of flavour and delicious. It consists of mixed fruits, dates, desiccated coconut, a mixture of seeds and dark chocolate. The reason why I was quite shocked is because I hate anything with fruit and nut combined but I would honestly eat this as a snack during the day.
My dad thoroughly enjoyed it and would consider getting a box of these slices as he’s really into his sports, so it’s perfect for him during cycles or after exercising. It’s safe to say this bar is extremely healthy!
Salted Caramel & Dark Chocolate Brownie
Both are very rich, moist and gorgeous brownies. I preferred the Dark Chocolate Brownie alongside my cuppa tea. When I make Brownies they’re always dry so it was nice to have a good brownie, especially during the snow season we’re having!
As soon as you have a bite of the Salted Caramel Brownie, it was the salt that hit you first followed by the chocolate and caramel. So if you’re really into your Salted Caramel, this ones for you.
They also have Peanut Butter Cookie Dough and Hazelnut Ganache in their Vegan the range which you can see in the first picture of this post.
‘JUST ANOTHER SLICE’ TIP FOR THE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIE DOUGH:
So which ones look good to you? Will you be ordering any?
