Hotel Les Dams du Pantheon, Hotel Review | Paris Travel Guide

Situated in the heart of the Latin Quarter, Hotel Les Dames du Pantheon looks onto the world famous Pantheon, hence the name and offers a four-star service to ensure you’re looked after during your stay.

In the 5th Arrondissement of the capital, it’s only a short distance to see all the main tourist attractions such as Notre Dame and has great views of the Eiffel Tower.

It also has great non-touristy places to visit for a more relaxed visit, well, maybe not 100% tourist-free, but you’ll find places nearby where it’s quiet compared to other parts of the city.

The Hotel found on the left bank looks out onto the Pantheon if you chose the right room and if you’ve ever visited the monument before, you’ve definitely seen this hotel.

[there was a lamp in the way so excuse the poor Photoshop job :)]

Inside is lovely and has a small area to sit down where you can enjoy a view of the building, once built as a church dedicated to St. Genevieve, but now functioning primarily as a burial place for famous French heroes such as Victor Hugo, Louis Braille and Marie Curie (post coming soon on that!)

The reception area is open planned so there’s no doors making you feel closed off which I like.

One of my favourite places in Paris has to be Jardain du Luxembourg. It’s beautiful and full of history and is only a short five minute walk from the hotel.

Personally I love to buy lunch and sit here and soak up the sun. And after a long day with sore feet, you can then sit on your bed and still have such an amazing view.

It’s an expensive place to stay but it’s so central it kind of makes up for it as you can pretty much walk anywhere. We were given fresh towels every day with the added bonus of robes and slippers which were super comfy.

If you want a view of the Pantheon rather than the other buildings, it’s worth paying the extra as you can really get a feel for the area just by standing at the windows as you listen to the french go to work every morning. The tousists don’t even bother you.

For an area with so many visitors, you would have thought it would’ve been more busy. Luckily for you, if it ever gets a bit too noisy outside, the rooms are sound-proof as soon as the windows we are closed.

Hugo (who we never actually met unfortunately) booked our dinners for us which was very much appreciated. The hotel offers so many other benefits, I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Paris.
